Blacksmithing basics

By learning the basics of blacksmithing you can make anything you can imagine. This is easier said than done though. The classes that iron rose forge offers will give you the chance to learn and create many different projects. The beginner course is a great option for getting some experience in the forge and to bring home some awesome creations.

Most of the class will involve hands on work, making different items that will teach different skills of forging.

Such as,

  • A Hoof Pick: which teaches the drawing out of steel and shaping

  • A Metal Cowboy Hat: Which teaches the moldability of steel

  • A Forge Welded Chain: Shows how to bind steel links in the forge using nothing but flux and a hammer

And many other ways a chunk of metal can go from being a paper weight to a useful item.
