Jacob Manning completed his Certified Farrier Exam (CJF) through The American Farriers Association in 2002, and his Certified Journeyman Farrier in 2004.
For the last several years he has been a Tester for the American Farriers Association’s certification program and teaches Pre-Certification clinics to prepare those taking the Certification Exam. For more information on clinics click here.
In 2005 he started Iron Rose Forge and started Horseshoeing full time. Since that time he has traveled all over the world learning better ways to take care of your horse.
Since 2002 Jacob has competed in the American Farriers Association’s Annual National Forging and Horseshoeing Competition, in which farriers from all over the US contend for a spot on the AFA’s Farrier Team which represents the states at international competitions.

This is a newspaper article from the vernal express, a town next to Roosevelt where Iron Rose Forge is based. Joseph Nielsen was Jacob’s 3rd Great Grandfather which makes Jacob’s son Chris, a 6th Generation Horseshoer in the Uintah Basin.
